About Zakat 

Zakat is a pillar of five pillars of Islam

In Al Quran, description about Alms (charity) is mentioned 30 times in 30 verses. We are presenting 4 verses among them. Allah Say’s: And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: and whatever good you do for your souls before you, you shall find it with Allah as Allah sees well all that you do  (Ref: Al Quran 2:110). There is no goodness that you turn your faces towards East or West; but it is right to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity, to fulfil the contracts which you have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing (Ref: Al Quran  2:177). Those who believe, and do good deeds and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve (Ref: Al Quran 2:277). Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [Spiritual Saint] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler – an obligation [imposed] by Allah . And Allah is Knowing and Wise (Ref: Al Quran 9:60).
Every year Tasauf Foundation takes charity from those who believes in Tasauf to distribute the money among needy people. In continuation, Tasauf Foundation has taken the same initive this year.
